Join in the fun every Sunday and Wednesday at 2 pm during July and August at Greenway’s new Bug University™ and Butterfly University™.
Designed and lead by University President” John Powers, internationally known as the Butterfly Man® and the Bug Man®. John takes his students on a one hour exploration of the lives of these fascinating creatures, which have captured his attention for over 47 years.
Come see some of the biggest, the most beautiful, the deadliest, the rarest, the most unusual, the protected and the most unique bugs and butterflies in the world. John’s spectacular “GYNANDROMORPH” and his OWLETMOTH from Brazil, have both been certified by the Guinness Book of World Records.
Along with John, Greenway’s own Butterfly Farmer, Marco Kennema, will be on hand to teach students about the growing and hatching of butterflies at their new Butterfly Farm and Conservatory, set to open very soon. Special guests from other universities, as well as artists and photographers will also help share their excitement about butterflies and bugs.
